Tax Preparation

The following is an estimate.  Actual costs may vary depending upon the complexity of your return.

Due to the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act (TCJA passed December 2017), estimating our fees has become challenging. The new tax bill is the largest event to affect taxpayers and small business owners since 1986. It added six NEW schedules resulting in additional 50+ line items to the tax return.  None of the schedules you are used to (Sch A, B, C, D, and E) were eliminated.  If you are a small business owner, you now potentially qualify for a 20% flow through deduction (QBI Deduction).  As a result of the TCJA, we anticipate that most 2018 tax returns will take 30% longer to prepare than in the past.  Please know that we will make every effort to accurately estimate our fee at your initial drop off interview.

  • and the complexity of your unique tax situation.

We will more accurately estimate our fee at your initial drop off interview.  Further, when additional tax preparation is necessary, we will discuss additional fees with you before we prepare those additional schedules or forms.

*U.S. Corporate Tax Return (1120, 1120-S) & Partnership Tax Return (1060):  Our minimum rate is based on a complete and reconciled Income Stmt & Balance Sheet.  Our fee will increase if records are incomplete or if we must make corrections to your general ledger.  We can more accurately estimate our fee at your initial drop off interview.
